Ivory & Lace

This cake was inspired by a wedding dress design. The bottom tier has been embossed with a design, which gives the impression that it is material and the ruche swags at the top dress are fixed with little bows. The tall top tier has been carved to give the shape of a bodice. This has been hand piped in royal icing with detailed pattern work to make it look like lace.

The detail carries on to the back, which has been designed to look like a traditional laced bodice with ribbon and a bow.

To give the cake a final, flamboyant lift, a tiara and feathers were designed for the top.
