Design Consultation

During your consultation, a range of options are discussed, so your cake will be unique to you. Please bring along ideas and materials that will inspire you to match your; colour, theme, flowers and/or dress.

A consultation is £60 and will also include tea, coffee & cake tasters, which you can choose from Emma’s Cake Menu.

A telephone consultation is also available if a face to face meeting isn’t possible. A one hour meeting including two design concepts is £45. If you wish cake tasters to be delivered to you, this can be arranged. Starting at £15 including post and packaging.

Design Concepts

Based on your consultation, Emma will supply you with an initial sketched concept of your wedding cake. This is a dynamic process that enables you to request changes and iterations, before the final cake is created. Please note that alterations will incur additional design costs.

Tasting Samples

Alongside the design of your cake, it’s important that it tastes just right. Emma provides a range of sample flavours, which you can taste to help you choose the perfect one for you. If you wish to purchase a wedding cake sample box, they are available at £15 for 6 flavours, with your choice of:

Special Dietary Requirements

It is important that your cake is perfect for you and your wedding guests. If you have any special dietary requirements, such as gluten free, or allergies, please inform Emma so the necessary arrangements can be made to suit your needs.

Number of Servings

It is important to consider not only how many people the cake is going to serve, but how it is being served. Will the cake be served as the dessert or with tea, after the main dessert? This will help determine the size of the portions and ultimately the size of your cake.

Prices

Each Wedding cake  is customised and therefore the costs vary depending on the customer’s requirements. As a guide, prices start at £300. For an accurate quote based on specific requirements, please contact Emma and she’ll provide you with a detailed quote.

Delivery & Collection

Emma will personally deliver your cake free of charge within a 30 mile radius of Llanrwst. Further afield will incur an additional charge. Please enquire for more information.

If you wish to collect your cake, it will be securely packaging for you to take away. Please be advised that once you have received your cake, it is your responsibility and Emma James Cakes cannot be held accountable for any damage.

Cake Stand Hire

Cake Stand Hire is available, however Emma advises that you ask your Wedding venue first, as she has a limited supply of stands. If a stand is hired from Emma, please ensure it is returned within 2 to 3 working days after the wedding. If the stand is lost or broken, you will be charged the amount for repurchasing.

Payment and Cancellations

A 25% non-refundable deposit is required once an order is confirmed. The final balance is payable 6 weeks before the completion of orders. All payment details are provided during the ordering process.

As we can all appreciate, unexpected things can happen and a cancellation policy is in place for such events, subject to Emma’s discretion. For cancellations less than 6 weeks before the completion date, the full balance is required.
